Power to the People

So today is the day before Halloween and we can't even dress up at this school. Centennial High gets to dress up for Halloween and Wakeland is doing a zombie day. It's not fair. Centennial is even known for being the strictest school in the district. My best friend dressed up as the Joker today. She didn't even violate length or inappropriateness but she got the dress for success shirt. They are really over reacting. I say there should be a protest. It's my senior year and I want it to be fun. I want to graduate and leave this school with a feeling of success. But good grades aren't going to be enough for that to happen. It's such a minor thing but I'm sure the rest of the school would feel the same way. Well, that's all I have to say for my free write. Happy Halloween! :D

La la la la la la laaaaaa!

What really makes my heart sing are thunderstorms! Especially when they are at night!!! But when thunderstorms come during the day it's the coolest thing ever. I see that the sky is getting darker and darker and then the rain starts and gradually gets heavier. It's actually quite comforting to me. Occasionally I will even go outside and dance in the rain.

Read My Lips

I think it's extremely important to mean what you say because it just shows one's strength. I love the feeling when I speak my mind and it leaves everyone feeling like I said something that matters. You could say that it was really "deep." But the problem is thinking before you speak. That's a problem of mine but then again I kind of have a speech impediment. If you haven't noticed I mesh words together and get tongue-tied often. But that's besides the point. The point is...you've got to mean what you say for your own sake. What you say can leave a lasting impression that you would hope is a good impression.

Young at Heart

Of course it's important to stay young at heart. Just because someone gets older doesn't mean he/she necessarily have to forget how to live the ways of his/her. That's the way I see it. Our years of youth are some of the most precious years and we learn how to cope with everything. You have to remember how to have fun.

You've Got A Friend In Me...

A true friend is someone that accepts you for who you are. They will always be there for you in a way that even distance can't change. I know it sounds really cheesy but it's the truth. They are someone to talk to and trust. When everyone else is bringing you down, you can always count on them to raise your spirits. I have a lot of friends but my closest friends are dearest to me. I always think of that song in Toy Story (my title). :D

Something New

I have always wanted to go sky diving. I'm definitely a thrill seeker. The only thing is that I would be worried if the parachute did not work. But I'm usually an optimistic person and hopefully that does not happen. I just want to see what it feels like to be falling and weightless. Just imagine how beautiful the world would look from way above...and even better when you fall! I will go sky diving someday. No matter how many people tell me not to, I will!!!

True Success

In my opinion, success means just being happy with your life. You don't have to necessarily be rich or famous. Our society normally associates it with fame and fortune but that makes it seem way to hard to become successful. Follow your heart, as cliche and corny it may sound. A person can't let others dictate what real success means.

Free at last, free at last!

Today my journal is a free write. So I'm going to write about my delicious pumpkin spice hershey kisses. I absolutely love this candy...which I happen to be eating at the moment. They are like pumpkin-pie-fantastic-autumn-deliciousness all in one tiny candy. I think this candy makes money from me primarily because I might be the only person that likes them...or for that matter, know about them. I have very strange taste in food and some people can't stand the taste of the pumpkin spice hershey kiss. Some people even say it tastes like candles. I don't care what they say. This beautiful concoction always makes me happy and I get so excited about the changing of seasons. Oh, the simple pleasures!
